DAMA – The Hokorian Government has launched the Hokorian Broadcasting Corporation (HBC) as a public broadcaster and news reporting service within the Hokorian State.
Learning from the mistakes of the previous Hokorian Public News Service (HPNS), the HBC will consist of volunteers who write articles and news reports, as well as run a 24/7 radio service playing music and regular news briefings from Hokoria and around the world.
The HBC will also facilitate opinion pieces from citizens, officials and foreigners in regards to Hokoria and internationally.
“A huge step forward”
Willow I has described the HBC as “a huge step forward in ensuring people can get information from many sources, not just public releases from the Government”. They added that “the HBC will allow citizens to publicly share their opinions on Hokorian affairs, giving them a greater voice and allowing them to be heard by anyone”.
To acknowledge bias, the HBC includes disclaimers on some articles written by authors who may be biased towards an opinion.
